I've updated the banner for this website with this picture, taken 31st of May 2008, while traveling along the westgate bridge with my mobile phone (not the best in quality). I've posted this because I'm heading back home to Melourne, and on the way back home this view greats me.

This was sighted the other day in these abandon commission flats in Kingston, Canberra. You can see in the middle of the tree there is a pink heart.

I sighted this the other day in Kingston, Canberra. Not a very good example of street art, but found it interesting being in an abandon flat, possibly commission flats.

'SLAVE TO THE WAVE'

I sighted this today while walking through Barton in Canberra.

My time in Sydney

Unfortunately I didn't see much Street Art in Sydney CBD or around Surrey Hills where I was staying. The streets did seem fairly clean with a few walls that had been painted over, giving that Rothko esk feel to it.

Maybe I was looking in the wrongs places or Sydney has a harder policy in regards to Street Art. Makes me feel very lucky to have the inner city culture that Melbourne has, with its mix of Street Art, Bars and Galleries.

On Holiday

I'll be on holiday for the next two week's and thought would move any new post's to when I get back (using the blogger scheduler service). I'm visiting Sydney first, and hopefully will find some great Street Art, Public Art and other interesting things in the Streets of Sydney.

Illuminating the City

Saw this awesome lights (light installation) across from the Telstra Shop (old Nike Shop) on Bourke Street in Melbourne CBD. I found this article today in the Councils Melbourne Magazine. I did take some video of it, so will be posting it up here soon.
