Three Eyes # 2
Sighted on the Corner of Queen and La Trobe street, Melbourne CBD on the 7th of May.
Work by Juul Kraijer 'Untitled' 2006, digitally printed photograph, from the MONA collection.
I posted this image before, but I thought I'd take it again due to the shadows on the original, although the original has more people in it which gives it more proportions.

This can be found at Federation Square, Melbourne, until Sunday 4 of July. More information can be found here www.fedsquare.com/thelightinwinter. This video was shot on Friday 4th of June 2010.
This video was recently featured on Gizmodo http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2010/06/australian-sun-installation-can-be-controlled-by-iphones-or-ipads/#more-400506 which I read every day, and at Switched http://www.switched.com/2010/06/04/rafael-lozano-hemmers-solar-equation-brings-out-the-sun-at-ni/ this page also has a great explanation of the installation as well.

Clones are taking over this City
This is what I missed while I was working, part of the Fringe Festival.
From the Fring Site "Take Off Your Skin (TOYS) is a large-scale collaborative dance performance. A collaboration with Japanese artist Yasuko Kurono, TOYS is a multiplying project that manifests in public spaces – both virtual and physical."
"During the 2009 Melbourne Fringe Festival clusters of Kurono clones will intercept iconic sites throughout Melbourne, climaxing in an imploding mass of dance, abstraction, poise and presence. The clones’ mission is to reveal the beauty in pattern and numbers, provoking reflection and difference in common spaces."
"Participants perform and record their experiences in small pods of clones and as a mass under choreographed guidance. Post-performance, the dance of the clones will be revealed online – showing a multiplicity of viewpoints from the participants and the audience."

Projection Festival
I went past this Projection Festival on Gertrude Street on Friday night, and it looked great, but going by the website, I've totally missed my opportunity to take some footage as it was only from 3rd of July to the 10th of July.

Dream

Taken on Saturday 4th of October, at the Dream Festival along the Yarra River and Birrarung Marr. It was a little surreal walking into all these white figures, and people were having there photo's with them. What would it be like with no one there?

Skull Globe

Andrew Walsh – Skull
Taken on Saturday 4th of October, at the Dream Festival along the Yarra River and Birrarung Marr.
Artist Statement: A skull, inspired by the ancient Mayan crystal versions, floats within a giant clear sphere in the work created by multi media artist, Andrew Walsh. Knowing that all of our dreams manifest themselves within our minds - within the skull – the image seemed perfect for a festival of dreams. The artist is also intrigued by the skull and it’s link with the face, the vehicle through which we represent ourselves to the world.
