This is more of a reminder to myself, the LTRHDS exhibition opens tomorrow Friday 26th February, 6pm until 10pm, and run from 26th February until 26th March at 1000 £ Bend, 361 Little Lonsdale St Melbourne.

Meggs, Ghost Patrol, Reka, Sync, Phibs and Puzle. There are also quite a few international artist in there two, from USA, UK, Japan and a few more too.

SLAM RALLY

If you can't view the above video to go the direct website http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oJsm1T2H3U

http://www.slamrally.org/
taken from the above website:
S.L.A.M. is Save Live Australias Music, a non-politically aligned, independent entity made up of musicians and music-lovers.

In a bid to address street violence Liquor Licensing Victoria (LLV) has introduced sweeping changes with unintended consequences for the local music scene.

LLV should admit its mistake and make simple changes immediately, acknowledging that there is no link between live music and high risk. The Tote is gone, whos next?

On 23 February, coinciding with the 34th anniversary of AC/DCs famous Its A Long Way To The Top film clip shoot down Swanston Street, S.L.A.M. is protesting in support and celebration of Victorias music scene, where new liquor licensing laws threaten to pull the plug on live music.

An eye in the hand

Sighted in Melbourne CBD on the 13th of November 2009

I'm not up with the whole Symbolism, but maybe this has something to do with warding off evil, going by this site and another site says it's bad luck. At the end of the day all I care about is that it just looks good.

Sighted Melbourne CBD AC/DC Lane, on the 11th of February 2010

AC/DC poster installation, by Ben Couzens. This installation was done as AC/DC are playing in town, just in case you've been living under a rock or are not familiar with this rock band.

Today I dropped in to the ST.ALI YARRA PLACE PROJECT (which I've posted about before). The laneway was busy with Artists, Art Appreciators, and random passer byes. Will post more pictures of this project soon, and will go back and post an update on the finished work (maybe a video if your lucky).

Adjustment to header Image

Current header for this blog, the same as the one posted mid January, but done black and white with a change to the placement of the text. I felt the colour made it a little too busy to read the text, and blogger is limited as to where you can place the text as well.
